8th Asia Pacific Triennial of Contempory Art
Author(s): QAGOMA
APT8 reflects the vigour of creative centres throughout Asia and the Pacific. With an emphasis on performance and representations of the body, APT8 explores artists’ use of the human form to express cultural, social and political ideas in times of enormous change. Expanding on the thematic focuses of the Triennial, the APT8 exhibition catalogue features a suite of richly illustrated essays by the exhibition’s curators providing insights into artists’ practices and drawing connections between works from across the region. These are contextualised with a discussion by a group of leading artists and specialists on key issues behind recent tendencies in contemporary art in the Asia Pacific. The catalogue also includes details of the Kids APT and cinema programs, and a comprehensive exhibition checklist.
